The Celtic League are to investigating reports in the Irish language newspaper LÁ today that Scotsman Adam Busby is on hunger strike because he is been denied medication and proper medical treatment for a kidney complaint.

Adam Busby a Scottish Republican who has lived in Ireland for many years has been the subject of unsuccesful extradition attempts by the British government in the past.

The Celtic League will be seeking to establish the veracity of the recents reports and reminding the Irish Justice Department of its obligations in such cases under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights:
