The Saudi Air Force is still bombing Yemen with their Typhoon fighter-bombers made at Warton in Lancashire and armed with missiles manufactured in Scotland.Meanwhile in Ireland plane loads of munitions from the United States continue to transit there cargoes of death to the Middle East via Shannon Airport.The UK also supplies technical and intelligence support whilst the United States provides logistical capability to the Saudis.The UK government and its war industries have no shame!Despite attempts to achieve a ceasefire more civilians have died in airstrikes which deliberately target residential areas.The Campaign Against the Arms Trade will take the issue of the continued arming of the Saudi regime by Britain to the High Court in London in a few weeks time but by then how many more people will have died.A recent study for CAAT found that 62% of adults in the UK oppose arms being supplied to fuel this conflict.As UK families with their children prepare to celebrate a peaceful Xmas for the children of Yemen there is only hunger, illness and fear.BERNARD MOFFATTPublic Relations Officer Mannin BranchIssued by: The Mannin branch of the Celtic League.03/12/16
