Deputy Paul Molac launches "Let's Make Brittany," a movement aimed at uniting supporters of Breton autonomy in the context of a renewed debate on decentralization.

The deputy of Morbihan, Paul Molac, a member of the LIOT group in the National Assembly and also a regional councilor for Brittany, known for the Molac Law on regional languages, announced the launch of a new political movement called "Faisons Bretagne," in an interview with the monthly magazine Bretons and reported by Ouest-France https://www.ouest-france.fr/politique/entretien-paul-molac-nous-voulons-lautonomie-pour-la-bretagne-9c574ebc-251b-11f1-881a-a498f566808c.

This movement aims to bring together elected officials and citizens in favor of greater autonomy for Brittany, based in particular on the principle of subsidiarity. The elected official advocates for a strengthening of regional powers, particularly in the fiscal, regulatory, and legislative areas, while excluding any questioning of national unity.

This initiative comes in a context of rising debates on decentralization and the role of regions, as several Breton political leaders have recently expressed their interest in institutional evolution, and a recent Ifop poll indicates that 71% of French people and 78% of Bretons support more federalism.
